Hi all!
I need to move iClone to a new computer. It is suggested to uninstall it instead of deactivating,so as to not lose an activation.I need to be online for the uninstallation.
Question: Can I use the normal Windows control panel program uninstaller, or is there a special iclone uninstall.exe, or another way of uninstalling (so that Reallusion is properly notified of the uninstallation) ?

Thanks in advance!

You can use the regular Windows uninstall facility.

When you want or need to uninstall IC
1. Use the win program mgr uninstall or RL deactivate  (either is fine)
2. Once uninstalled> do a registry cleaner. Just to make sure no old IC info is there.)
3. Shut down (not restart win) your com.
4. Start up win
5. Let it all load up properly
6. Install Ic> make sure your dir settings are going to where you want them OR HAD them and then install the provided IC resources file.YOU MUST BE ONLINE for RL to verify install of IC and any files.
7. NOW> rt click the IC icon> set to RUN AS ADMIN in advanced properties))
8. Set your GPU settings> CUDA >GTX9xx  or ?
9. OK, NOW> shut down and then start up win
10 ENJOY IC
Note: All of your previous purchased items will still be where they were before and ready for use.
Hope this helps and remember to give IC a chance to load properly before diving into a project as it has a lot to do....all of the time.

I've been wanting to say this all day long (but I can't post from my work computer lately)...

Be sure you are connected to the internet during the deinstallation process.  That way Reallusion will know to release your license from the old computer, making it available for use on your new computer.

This thread came at exactly the right time for me - I was searching through the forum for the information provided.

I'm not installing on a new computer, just having problems which are affecting Iclone.  (I installed and un-installed a trial program a few days ago and now have a missing .dll file.  reverting to an earlier control point failed and told me to run CHKDSK.  I managed that and nothing wrong was found.  So I will un-install Iclone and re-install).

Thanks for the information which answered most of my questions except one:  does installing only the latest patch/upgrade suffice?  I was planning just to open Iclone and ask it to update itself but would be interested in knowing anyway.  Thanks again.
