Character Creator works with most 3rd party application. Internally we have tested for basic compatibility with Cinema 4D but we hope to have more in-depth analysis from the user base. Please post your methods and findings here for the community as a whole. Thank you all for your contribution! :)
Workflow from Brisk FX 1. Rotated CC Base Bone Root to put the model in a Y UP position. 2. Exported FBX 7.4 (2014) with Normals, Textures/Materials, Embed Textures. 3. Followed the CC Asset Developer PDF steps after that.

Hi, I spendt all day trying to figure out the correct workflow for exporting fbx from iclone cc, importing in cinema4d for creating accessories or clothing and then importing it back to iclone cc, but i came to nothing.. I tried the standard procedure exporting from iclone, importing to cinema and then exporting back to iclone without success I tried to follow the workflow from Brisk Fx but without success. I also tried to start from the Body Templates (Lightwave & Cinema 4D), downloaded at http://developer.reallusion.com/cc_resource.html the strange thing is that when i try to import in iclone cc the Body Templates (Lightwave & Cinema 4D) without even passing through cinema4d this is the result i get: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5aHukSqPClyZjQ4dVJUZzRHVTA when i try to import the bodytemplate (Lightwave & Cinema 4D) in cinema and I export the fbx [i tried kind of all version of fbx (for sure fbx 2012/2014 and 2016) and i export normal and texture/material, embed textures as suggested by brisk fx] and import back in iclone cc this is what i get (even if I actually make no adjustments in cinema), same kind of deformation + no textures at all https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5aHukSqPClyb1luaUVoYW1xTXc
it will be great having some kind of very precise indication about how to use the body template in cinema 4d and how to export fbx from cinema without having this kind of weird results. any help? i'm working with cinema 4d r17

Hello Space 3D! As the looks you have either not properly weighted, or you have afterwards in Cinema 4D the function Optimiert. used. The shyrt is copied from the CC_Base_Body.
What did you do in Cinema 4d?

Hello ! I had the same problem as when I used the templates. I have always exported Christian from 3DXChange and there are not these deformations. I have you to try the Christian and all which belongs to the download. I will continue to research where it is.
Excuse the english ... it comes from Google !!!
http://silveradler.de/CINEMA/Christian.rar
PS: I think your problem solved! Have you taken the wrong templates, because there are for Cinema4D templates. I have it you here for the download also times packed.

What about with not template CC Character ? with exported FBX from CC ?

Oh hello Space 3D! Apologies for the German contributions! I've already created something new for IClone! A new lock for Beirian girls. Cinema 4D has problems with vamp and can transfer the scales very badly. This can blender better. However, I have not found any meaningful way for exchanging the character between Cinema4D and Blender. You FBX are not compatiebel. It is very time-consuming to manually weigh in Cinema4D. Nevertheless, to try out my new clothes for IClone 6.

Hai Friends , Look nice cloth. Have you make cloth on Cinema 4D ? ------> then import to CC .
|
By Silveradler - 8 Years Ago

Yes, of course ! The clothes I created myself in Cinema4D. UV has been adapted to the texture of the pants. Texture is from Google ...? Problem with the Weight Painting, since Cinema4D with Vamp very bad results erziehlt. Most of the time was therefore spent on weighting. I am currently friends with Blender, because Blender transfers the transfer weight almost perfect. The Amature of RL are very complex. Also, Blender is free and can be exactly as much as Cinema4d and I have not before another release to buy. In any case, I think it's great that RL has made it possible with CC to design even own clothes, whether in Cinema or Blender, the earlier was the only possible with 3dMax and plugin of RL. The clothes are a pleasure for a beginner like me and I will try to improve. In this sense .... much fun with Cinema4D,

Is there any way to change/edit the standard face morph targets to improve facial expressions? I tried to export *.fxb from character creator 3 and imported into cinema 4d. i found and edited the morph targets to my liking, but whenever i export from C4d with whichever fbx versions and settings checked it doesnt get imported correct into CC3. The import checker dialog always points to invalid custom materials on eyes and tongue and the morph targets that C4d stores under a null for absolute reference are listed as crtitical problem. when set the posemorphs in C4D to relative and delete the hidden reference "blend shapes" CC3 still displays custom Material errors and something with the geometrie.
