Hi Everyone 
We have another new 3DXchange 6 update and need your continued assistance to help us track down any remaining bugs, glitches or other annoying issues.
3DXchange 6.5 adds some new customization features and also comes a number of important fixes and enhancements.
Important: If you do find any bugs, issues or glitches in the 6.5 update, please can you first report them in the Feedback Tracker. Then feel free to discuss the issues in this thread. However do make use of the Feedback Tracker first to log the issue.
As always, do feel free to post general discussion about 3DXchange 6 in your own threads, but it will help us greatly if we can keep all outstanding issue discussion in the one place.
Please do try to provide your full system specifications and a detailed description of the problem when posting. If you can provide steps so we can try and reproduce the problem this will be even better.

Hi Peter,
I reported the issue in the feedbacl tracker, but in reality I am not sure whether it is a real bug or simly I am missing something.
Let me report the issue also here.
I have 3DXChange 5 and 6 and I noticed the following different behavior, which puzzles me:
- in version 5, I can assign a texture to the Diffuse channel of an imported FBX file and the texture correctly appears - in version 6, given THE SAME FBX FILE, after assigning the same texture in the same way as just described, the texture does not appear
No idea what I am missing: any suggestion is more than welcomed...

I can confirm Roberto's issue. I just tried to replace a diffuse texture on an FBX file and even though it shows in the Diffuse thumbnail, it doesn't update on the item.
EDIT: After I replaced another texture on the same item, it did show up. I then did an undo and the first texture was replaced as well...:unsure:

I got a funny thing happening, when I installed the Update. My Program disappeared from my computer. Windows said, it is there, it was in the registry, but I could not find any trace of the executable file anywhere on my PC. I had no other choice than uninstalling 3DXchange and install the new version. Worked perfect, so far no trouble. Just mentioning, no idea if it is the software or my computer or Win 10... By the way, Apple now helps Windows....

I just discovered I am unable to export FBX or OBJ models from 3Dxchange Pipeline 6.5 - "not enough memory" is the error message. Of course I had no problems on the same computer with the previous build, so one can assume that this is a result of the latest version.

Hi Job,
thanks for the feedback. I just sent a fbx file (which shows the issue in 3DX6 but work correctly in 3DX5) to RL so that they can check this case and hopefully fix it.

3DXchange 6.51 have a problem with replace mesh for CC characters. Export mesh, replace with same mesh and UV change

Hello,
I Just installed iclone 3dxchange pipeline 6.52 in windows 10 and it would not open, it opens a small empty window and closes it, thats all it does, i Unistall and reinstall but it does the same thing...

Hi,
I'm trying to export the Heidi character out of iclone for use in Unity. However, her hair disappears when I click to edit in 3dxchange.
Iclone

Click to Edit in 3dxchange

Hair Missing in 3dxchange

I don't have this problem when I try to export the male character (Mason) and I don't see any different properties for Heidi's hair. Any idea on how to keep her hair?

I could duplicate the missing Heidi hair you found. It appears you are exporting Heidi from the G6 Intro project. Instead send Heidi to 3DXchange from the “Avatar 01_G6 Character” and the hair will stay on her head. Hope this helps.

I've got the fbx successfully imported into Unity along with body and facial animation. However, I notice that the tongue and some of the teeth move around far away from the character when he is talking.
In the below picture you can see his tongue is way far away.

The tongue moves between his mouth and far outside of the screen whenever he's talking.
Any ideas of what might be causing this or how to fix?

I was having the same problem with iClone. After upgrading to 6.53 I was able to open the program.

Exported to fbx a prop with bones but UVs not on model when opened in other apps. Worked with other models ok. Problem prop is export ready "small crowds roman soldier". Any help?Tried in Unity and Carrara 8.5 3dxchange pipeline version 6.51 Cheers

I justinstalled the trial version of iClone 6.51, iClone Character Creator 1.51, and iClone3DXchange 6.51 Pipeline. My system is a DELL Inspiron 15” 7548 with Intel i7-5500U2.40 GHz, 16GB Ram, Win 10 Home 64 bit, AMD Radeon R7 M270 4GB. iClone and CharacterCreator works fine, but I’m unable to open 3DXchange, it opens a small empty windowand closes it, that’s all. I try to uninstall and reinstall but it does thesame thing. Is there away to resolve the problem because I want to buy all the three software? (3DXchangeis really important for my work) Thanks.

Hey everyone,
I'm new on the iClone / 3DXchange pipeline. I have an issue that maybe you guys could help me. I want to delete some internal faces on my character that aren't visible, so I exported a FBX to Maya to delete these internal meshes (legs, and parts of the body covered by clothing), and when I opened on 3DXchanged it shown an error "Import file error 3DXchange may not support this data format." I followed this pipeline (but using the original iClone bones): https://www.reallusion.com/ICLONE/pipeline/flow_character_maya_import.aspx - I'm using Maya LT 2017 and FBX 2017 as well. Am I doing anything wrong? What is the best pipeline to export characters to Maya, edit it and send it back to 3DXchange/iClone? I would like to add some accessories/geometry to the character as well do some changes here and there.

Accessories are easiest added to the character within iClone for maximum flexibility.
Attach a prop to a character and it will be come an accessory (the prop that is). Next to the Attach To field is a button marked [...] that opens the bone hierarchy and allows you to specify to what bone the accessory should be attached.
