Hi,
A few days ago I was following along with a tutorial and noticed that I can not Drag N' Drop video files into my project screen, or into a prop (TV's, and other items that should hold video). I'm sure I've done this before. But now for some reason, the only way I can get the video into Iclone is to put the files I want to use in Iclone's video folder and load them from there. And then it only accepts avi. The tutorial stated that you should be able to use any video your computer can play. I installed the K-lite codecs that the tutorial suggested for people having trouble with video, but it didn't help. If anyone knows what adjustments I need to make to correct this, please advise me. Thank you very for your time.

It's easy to fix. Install this and all problems solved: https://www.mediaplayercodecpack.com/ If this codec pack doesn't work, I'll let you kick my ass as hard as possible.

Hey RagingKylo,
Thanks for this resource. I'll give it a shot, I don't think it can hurt having more codecs to work with. I did explore a little more after I added the K-Lite codes and found that I could load mp4 and other video files through the diffuse window in the Modify section. I still can not just drag and drop directly into Iclone from my computer's video folder. I'll let you know if this one fixes it for me. Thanks again.

Warning ! ! ! The media player codec pack listed above has a Trojan attached to it.

If you use Windows PC, you should know Windows usually mark "freeware" as "malware". It's false alert. Shame on Microsoft. But if you don't trust this pack, just delete it.

For a reliable codec pack that I've used since Windows XP, check out here: http://shark007.net/. It installs codecs but also does a cleanup of unreliable codecs installed by other programs, including K-Lite.

I had completely forgot about this one animagic, even though the Media Player Codec Pack did solve a problem I had with no sound when using the HDMI port, I liked the shark setup better and will go back to it. Thanks for the heads up animagic! :)

OK, I tried the media player codec pack you supplied. It doe's require that you uninstall any other packs first and reboot, which I did. I have Norton security suite and it didn't alert me to any virus problem. ( I saw The Old Buffers warning before I wrote this.) I don't really know which one is best, and I might just test drive them all to see if there is any difference (Including the one listed by animagic). But so far, I still can't drag and drop directly into a project or props. It's probably a simple setting that needs to be changed or applied. Just need to find out what it is.

Hello Animagic,
Do you recommend the advanced or standard version of the shark codecs? I am working with windows 7.

Mike, I would recommend the advanced pack to be fully covered. It's what I use.

What kind of prop did you use? 3DFX Virtual Studio?

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.

I was working with a pack called Old TV Sets. Then I tried the flat screen TV also. No matter what prop I use, it won't let me just drag and drop in video. I have to do it all through the Modify Section's diffuse window. I haven't tried any of the 3d montage or 3D virtual studio to see if they would work. So it seems like I'm the only one having this problem!
