I was search for solving how to get face animation working after export from 3DXchange. I managed export face bone but fail to export skinning for face bone out of 3DXchange...

In 3DXchange the face animation is working well unless I exporting it out.

What the other way to get face skinning export?
I really want add face animation to my games project.

Nothing? Not even if I buy 3D Max license and import there then use 3D Max FBX exporters to unreal engine? Will that working? What other way can I do it?

Hi !

Here is how I did it:
- Open IClone and 3DXchange at the same time.
- Click on your character on IClone then click (on the right panel) on "Edit in 3DXchange". It will open your character in 3DXchange.
- Export the mesh as a FBX without animation using Unreal preset but unselect "Include animation" if it's not already greyed out.
- Import the FBX into Unreal. Materials should be broken. I'm trying to figure out how to fix this...Thanks Reallusion -_-'
- Go back on IClone and animation your character
- Select the animation frames you want to export using the "Collect Clip" raw in the animation timeline
- Right click on the selection and click "Add MotionPlus to 3DXchange" (You definitily need MotionPlus or your facial animations won't be exported)
- It will automatically import the animation into 3DXchange
- In 3DXchange, in the right panel, under "Motion library" select the animation you've just imported and click on "Import".
- The animation is not in the "Perform Edtitor" section.
- Export the animation into a new FBX using Unreal preset but uncheck the "Include Geometry" (you already done it before)
- Import the animation FBX into Unreal using the Skeleton you imported before.

And I think this is it :D
