The popVideo can be also brought as motion design elements into iClone. Simply drag and drop popVideo files from the library or from any Windows folder into the iClone preview window, the live or virtual actor can be enhanced with powerful 3D video visual effects.

from any Windows folder into the iClone 4 does not work ?????:w00t:
Inserted is always on the background and not have its own object

for videos and for images

also: Directly turn image or video files into 3D objects.
does not works, Inserted is always on the background and not have its own object

Howdy
to turn textures into 3d objects you have to select the texture and press/hold "ctrl" key and then click and drag into scene. Also, depending on the angle of the camera it will create it as a floor or a wall for you. ;)
I also found out that drag and drop does not work properly with windows vista and 7. But there is a fix here:

hope this helps. :)

i found away to add still images without turning off the user control.

i just selected stage/2dbackground/modify/image background/open(the little folder icon)

select the image you want to use and it will now be the background image.

in the content manager in the 2d background selected

click the plus button ( add to custom )

now your image is in the custom area.  you can repeat this to add all the images you want.

create a new project and in the custom image folder of the 2d background image you just added. click and/or select the image then hold the ctrl button on your keyboard and drag and drop the image as a prop.

images with alphas you need to go to the modify tab and double click the opacity box and load up the same image and the alpha will be applied.

now save a prop.

as for video i think you might need to disable the user account control.

maybe later RL will just forget the whole drag and drop from a open window and just add a open images folder button for video and images. i hate disabling control panel stuff.

hope that helps someone
