Ok I have a project I am working on in Maya, this is the entire reason I bought Iclone 6 so that I could create characters and use them. I got the 3dxchange 6.4 when I go to export it won't let me select maya as the format to export it to. What am I missing? Do I need to get my $ back for something that it won't do when it clearly advertised as being able to work in maya?

You need to export in FBX format and then import that in Maya.

Both avatars & props can be exported in fbx format & brought into Maya, 3ds Max, Mudbox, etc.... I do it all the time...
If you need any assistance or want a "walk-through", grab me on Skype (grannyjsplace) & I will walk you through the export process.

Hai friends ,
iClone model is compactible with autodesk software ( 3D Max, Maya and Mudbox ) .
Export on Fbx format ( Maya Version ) ---------> use 3Dxchange software.

Note :
- For best result Fbx format use converter Fbx from Autodesk ( Free Software )

The problem in this case is that you are using 3DXchange 6 Pro. The Pro version does not allow export to FBX. You will need to upgrade to 3DXchange 6 Pipeline if you wish to be able to export content to other 3D software or game engines. To find your upgrade price please go HERE and click the "Add On Tools" tab.
