Hi there,
this is just a "teaser" to introduce my next tutorial: how to create a sound-controlled animation. You can see a very coarse example here.
In the final tutorial I will show how to do this and also how to refine the whole animation.
Stay tuned... ;-)
Cheers

Hi sw00000p,
actually it is not really a real-time controller but rather a baked animation driven by an audio file. What I am going to show is how to use Blender to animate a prop following the beat of an audio file. All the magic is done by a small Phyton script for Blender (which I will provide). Then, the animation can be customized with few more clicks: it works a charm :)
This is the 2nd tutorial where I show how to integrate Blender with iClone and the more I dig in, the more I understand that Blender is a great resource to resolve things that cannot be done directly in iClone.
Cheers

Thanks for he tease Roberto, looking forward to the tut! :) I have not dabbled in Blender much, but I'm seeing more and more uses for it as a tool to work with iClone also.

Hi sw00000p,
I can't say if Blender has or not what do you describe. Perhaps it has, who knows ?... I am still learning it :P

Hi sw00000p,
in the script (which you will see soon, it is just 3 lines of code!!!) you just select the input file and what property of the object you want to change (scale, position, or rotation). But then, in the tutorial, I show how to fine tune in Blender to create additional results: here there is really no limit... I just opened the door to another world! ;)
I have finish to record the audio and video and now I need to assemble everything, render etc. Hope by tomorrow it is ready.
Cheers

Hi sw00000p,
I haven't checked that yet. I believe it is not difficult as I already know how to do in other programming languages. Also, I am enough familiar with GUI controls and Phyton. In reality, it is not my 1st priority, because I want to go on creating iClone music videos: I get into Blender bit by bit whenever I feel that I need something that I can't do in iClone, or I want to have a break from animating, but for Blender right now I am not following a "learn all you can" approach.
Btw, almost ready to upload the tutorial... as soon as the final video rendering is completed.
Cheers
