Hi Everyone,
Thanks to Rampa, jjdigitalgraphics, Pumeco, JJJAM, Erisku, Bray42, Chris, JCWeatherby, RobertoColombo, jarretttowe, Peppie and imaginationseven7 for all their wishful features submitted in January. These are currently under review by the iClone team and being considered for future implementation. It's not too late to add your suggestions for February so please let us know what you want to see added to iClone. Your feedback can help shape the future of iClone so don't hold back. :)

okay I dont make lotsa threads so i will post my "wish" here 3dparticles that can be used for crowd generation. And of course the rest of the physx particles that we are waiting for but a crowd generator would be way cool.

And meanwhile we trust that all the other great "Wishful Features" posted over the last 36 months are still being tracked. Wishes like the one for "stretching/compressing" a series of keyframes on the timeline, in this thread.
And oft-repeated ones like these" > Ability to turn off autokeyframing (not high on my personal list, but requested monthly, usually by newbies) > Improved hair creation capability (probably more "Character Creator" than iClone, but that's just splitting hairs... ha ha, a pun!) > Having "Sequence of images" use filenames that reflect the actual frame number, not starting from one (or zero?) each time you render
I'm not complaining. It's nice to see the acknowledgement. We'll just have to take it on faith that the others are still on the list. Looking forward to what comes in iClone 6.5 and 6.6 and 6.7... :)

a few things will take this up a level, but probably not for all levels of users 1. a 360 cam system with Equirectangular rendering. or at least better camera options compatible with 360 stitcher programs. 2. camera data export via fbx 3. projected gobo lighting 4. merging for projects 5. more options for grass textures (avi-etc) + plus the ability to translate 6. matte shadows option 7. a completely revamped DOF system 8. real enviroment mapped shadows/lighting 9. SSS
I'm sure you guys are familiar with element 3d, vcp is a very small company and look how far they got in just a few years.

Sometimes requests are superseded by larger better plans, and iClone 6 feels like it's the basis of many larger, better plans. I really liked seeing the "what to expect" video. Maybe a little something like that once a month?

I love how you can click on "edit in 3d exchange" for characters in both iClone 5 & iClone 6 .... what I'd really love to see is the same capability for PROPS (including their animation).... it would make my workflow a bit less tedious at times going back & forth between 3ds max & iClone... jush my wish.....

I use iClone to create tactic exercises for firefighters and therefore i need realistic smoke and fire effects :-). I really like iClones amazing animation possibilities, but i think it's about time particle effects improved, they are about the same since iClone 3. I have tested several game engines (CryEngine, Unreal 4, Unity, ) and they has of course amazing particle effects. But they are still far from being as simple as iClone when it comes to movie making, however it seems that they are starting to see the market (see this link) So it would be fantastic if iClone could get better particle effects in 3d.:) Some whishes: :rolleyes: - 3D particles - Particle bounce, or block when hitting a wall or a hidden layer. (Looks strange when smoke and fire continues through items) - Light and shadow influence on particles - Particle overall scale settings (to change size of whole particle at the same time) - Reduce speed on particle (better looking slow smoke etc) - Group several particle effects (without parent to prop) - Pre start so particle is fully grown at frame one when rendering

Thanks for the thanks, Peter, I really hope to see some of the stuff in the upcoming releases. I'm being really nice today, and with no motive behind it whatsoever ... honest!
*COUGH* I never requested it officially with a thread, but please ask the devs to add Anamorphic DOF so that our stuff can look genuinely epic *COUGH*

I have tried, but I can no longer do without:- 3Dconnexion support.
- Hotkeys all. Script-able menu icons.
- Timeline = Unlimited Motion Layers. (new layer options: overwrite/ additive. Name-able. Group-able, collapse-able. Drag drop re-order)
Fix-able in the short run:- Expression morph loading: increase from 24 to 84 morphs; profiles loads directly in iClone
- Drag drop physX weight maps in viewport
- Figure collision mesh process = pivot always center, Y symmetry, auto-snap to joint center
In the longer run...- Dynamic cubemap baking on the fly = near real-time mirror
- 3D Particles with collision
- dynamic Fiber hair
Also really liking RL's new progressive attitude and energy.
Will be back to play when things settle into place.

1) Curve editor -- look at new tools like akeytsu for inspiration 2) image/movie slot for light projection, with shadows and colored shadows 3) any workflow enhancements

I agree with everything here, but I think one more should be added to this list. Put an animation control rig in the viewport. The puppeteer controller is killing my workflow. If you can't but the animation rig in the viewport, then how about letting us assign hotkeys to the joints, so that we don't have to keep clicking back and forth to select things.

If you have the bones visible (bone edit mode box checked) you can just double click on a bone to select it. If they are a little hard to select, click on the little gear thing in the upper left corner of the panel. There are some settings to size and color the bones as you need. :)

I forgot to mention 3Dconnexion. Kidding.
Finally went back into iClone space again... Forgot to mention misc workflow enhancements, mainly clicking and scrolling savers...
First, Character Creator- A easier to access Reset button for CC morphs, say next to the (wonderful btw) Bake and Refresh buttons
- Either that, or double click on slider circle to reset (faster sexier than DS/ Poser's Alt Click Reset)
- A toolbar set of Phoneme/mouth expressions to check mouth issue after extreme morphs (w/o having to visit 3DX) would be nice
Timeline again...- Remove Animation is used so often, deserve their own button/s on the Play Bar and Timeline.
- Forgot to mention: unlimited Motion Layers feature I requested earlier includes multiple Expression Layers too
- When in Timeline, hitting Delete key on keyboard, should delete selected track, not scene object
3DXchange
- Expression Source Morphs need sliders and one click reset (double click on handle or a top access button)
- Right panel scroll bar to move to right side and scale up (currently impossible to catch)
- Left panel drag to resize, or at least wider by default
- Option to auto apply symmetry
Also yes to quick access pose L/R swap and mirror symmetry. Would also be nice to be able to add custom Gaits (Presets) to Motion Puppet (custom slouch/ loose wrists etc)
If these can't make next update, next next update. I can't work in iClone now anyway, until clicking/scrolling rate is reduced by 80% with 3Dconnexion + quick access menu buttons/hotkeys Hence, these two are still my no.1 request.

Are there any official updates planned for the support for Genesis 3 DUF? I know Wendyluvskatz has done an unofficial file set. I am considering the purchase of the pipeline for getting DAZ characters into Unreal Engine 4 and rigging them. It would be nice to have the possibility of using the facial bone rigging of the G3 M & F models to animate also. Thanks! -Sharon

I think i will be happy if all i get is a real 3d camera. To be able to actually orbit and tilt not just dolly in and out. My second best request would be a G6 character template support that makes use of even more angles like 30, 60, and 120 degree. This would make sprite switching from one angle to another a lot more smoother. especially now that mocap will be even more accessible to everyone.

I may be the only one that needs a scroll bar on 3DX6's export dialog box but it's been needed since 3DX5, not everyone has an 8 x 12 foot screen to work with and I don't want to have to hide my task bar just for 3DX, just pressing enter works as long as you don't need to change names or locations, no other program I own does this. Just a simple scroll bar please and than you! :)

If more facial features are going to be a problem implementing in the next update, how about instructions on how to create or edit the iCloneFaceKeys. As it is you can't add some of the really creative facial expressions we already own in DAZ either before or after loading the face key, if you do it completely rewrites over the keys and you have to spend the time to correct all the facial keys in 3DX, thus defeating the purpose of the iCloneFaceKeys. The added DAZ expressions make up for the limited facial features we have in iClone and if this could be addressed it would save hours of work. Also if there's a way to expand the parameters so that we could have more control in the face puppet tool, that would be really nice too! :)
I don't know it it's just me but I can't use the "Face Key" on any CC characters, that would help also.

1. Modify the puppet tool to have functionality and customization similar to the one in Daz Studio. The ability to create expressions and poses and save them instantly as dots and use the mouse to create an infinite number of unique expressions in between these key expressions or poses is incredibly useful. I can take any video of someones Maya, Max.. rig demo and duplicate a rig simulation in minutes with DS, and then customize it even further to suit the character I was working on. The ability to create multiple tabs for the eyes, the brows, the lips, arms, legs... would keep everything manageable. Ability to save the custom puppet tool users create with the character. 2. Bringing back the details tab in the face puppet tool, convincing, unique facial animation and expressions are what brings a character to life. 3. A keyboard shortcut that would set a key when using the face puppet in preview mode along with the ability to save expressions with auto generated thumbnails of the facial expression 4. A keyboard shortcut that would set a key when using the body puppet preview mode along with the ability to save poses with auto generated thumbnails of the poses . 5. The curve editor, had to mention this again because it is so important for convincing animation. 6. Multiple motion and expression tracks were also great Ideas
