Thanks. So there is no way of creating animated prop that won't loop? Like default animated props that comes included in CTA 2?

Yes, a SWF animated image will loop forever.

Typically you would have 3 parts for an animated SWF: Static Start image, animated SWF, and static End image.
You start with the static Start image then switch to the animation when you want it to start.
When the animation has run it's course you then switch to the static End image.
Here is a link to a tut I did on using animated images. You will see how it works there.

I don't use Adobe Flash so I can't answer your second question.

Wow, this movie explained a lot, thanks! Smile

Making multiple sprites in Prop Editor solved everything. Although I have no idea how the first explanation works and how can I collect clips from animated SWF file,
but since it works on sprite I don't need nothing more. Thanks!

Actually this is very possible and its fairly easy to do. Once your animated loop is in cta. you can turn it into a smart prop. In this case you may need tp ad ad an additional 1 frame sprite, depicting the stopped state.

Basically you animate the prop the way you want in the stage and use the collect clip function to export animations, sprite switching events, and so on. These exported animation can then be brought back and applied to the prop so that you can control it with the action menu. This way you can literally make it so you can control all sorts of things in that prop, such as whether it loops for ever, whether it stops, or changes angles etc.

In your case all you need to do is create two action menu items, one that tells it to cycle, and one that tell it to stop.

If you use Billy check out the Icarus Mod Pack. Icaru's wings have various states that you can control with the right click menu. such as expand, contact, fly etc. Its the same concept

Hi!
I exported simple animation in DrawPlus. In Flash Player it works fine. But in CTA2 it loops infinately... is there a way to make it stop?

Second thing: when I export SWF from Flash Professional, it also previews ok in Flash Player. When I import it into CTA2 I get empty prop...
