We could export images with transparent backgrounds in iC5.  Not so in iC6.  This is a valuable feature that will allow us to do more outside of iClone if we need to, such as composite an iClone element in Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, or Premiere.  RGB+A for both images and video.

Recently I used iClone to create a motion graphic as an overlay for video.  Without the Alpha export, it meant I had to do a luma/chroma key adjustment to make the background go away.

Actually PNG is assumed as the default to export the Alpha Channel. It seems to be the only format however.

RGBA in Photoshop is 24bit PNG, or 32Bit TGA.    In After Effects RGBA can be prescribed for AVI and - I think MOV - as well as PNG / TGA image sequences.

Rendering with a black 2D background gives you a 32-bit PNG with a transparent background.

Thanks for the heads up!
