I am having two problems with the CC characters.  Some of them I created and some are the default in Iclone 6.  The first problem is that when I place a CC character in the scene its clothing explodes.  See picture.  The second is that in one scene if I use a CC character, the open project causes the program to crash unless I open a project with no CC first and then cntl n and then open the CC project.  I looked back a previous posts and did not see any similar problems.  I also reinstalled the program which didn't help.https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/77f15177-d243-49e4-89ce-c327.png

The "exploding" clothes problem may be related to the soft cloth physics, and can normally be cured by letting the scene play for a few seconds. You might have to play it twice for things to settle - and just remember to hit the Stop button to get everything back to frame 1.

I don't have a solution for the crashing problems, but it might help if you could post some information about your PC components.

I think I found a solution for the "exploding clothes" of the CC Characters.
I had the same problem in my new Pinhead project and with try and error I found this:
When the foot-contact of the character is enabled the "exploding clothes" appears.

What to do?

-Start a new project.
-Place a CC Character in the scene.
-Disable the foot-contact of the  CC character
-Save the CC Character in your custom folder. (without foot-contact)
-Place the CC Character in your scene
-(If you want) enable the foot-contact again. (now you don't see "exploding clothes")

Here it works.:):):)
Of course this is a tempory solution, I hope RL will fix this problem soon.

Best Regards,
Arie

@Clark: the exploding clothes problem has to do with interaction between a terrain and CC characters. It has been reported as a bug.

One workaround is provided in Arie's post above and is definitely the simplest.

What I have found is that if you put the terrain in after your CC characters they will not be distorted, but that is more of a hassle. If you have a terrain already in place, you would need to save it first as custom, delete it, put the characters in, and then put the terrain back.

Thanks you guys.  Arie's solution worked great for the exploding clothes.  I still have the crashing problem after inserting the new CC characters, but I think they are also the problem, because when I remove them the scene opens just fine.  Thanks for the help.
