Hi,
I'm trying out the Trial Version of Icone 6 and 3DExchange. I am in the middle of a Project that uses DAZ Kids4 as well as variations of Michael 4. I have watched the tutorials and stuff on Youtube but I haven't been able to successfully import my Kids4 figure (with Duke hair) or even my M4 figures. In fact all my DAZ4 figures go wonky. Does anyone have any experience of importing Kids4 successfully, if so do you have any tips for me. I very much like what I see of Iclone but it is of no use to me if I can't import my older DAZ figures. I use DAZ Studio 4.8. and have been exporting the figures via FBX to 3DExchange.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for that but the tutorial is for Genesis 2 not the Generation 4 figures.
I've tried everything that I can think of to bring my morphed Gen 4 figures into Iclone but with no success so I think I'll save myself some money and stick with DAZ Studio and Poser.
Thanks for the interest and suggestion.

I think in earlier versions of 3dXchange the method was to export from DAZ as Collada (.dae) and use Autodesk's free FBX Converter program to convert the file to FBX (2012 flavour?).

Then, in 3dXchange the bones needed to be assigned - there wasn't a pre-set procedure as with Genesis.

Perhaps a working Bone profile would help.  You only need to convert the model to a Non-Standard inside 3dxChange, and then load this profile to see if your bone structure is correct.

I did not include a Facial Expression profile as it depends on morphing factors the exporter from DAZ uses.

Download the profile here:  https://app.box.com/s/92c94729lhh82u0ajq17x072zkzkk0ra
This is a sample of the model I used for the profile.  https://youtu.be/mxZvZF_45Cs
