The Rachel Dolezal situation in the news seemed PRIME fodder for an episode... but it took a while to find an actress who could do the role.  I went to Stage32 and found a woman who delivered each line in a different voice... then groaned about how she hoped people would hate the episode.  We finally hit big with a SAG-AFTRA actress who nailed it!  So far, people seem to enjoy this.  Onward.  Excelsior!

Thanks all who supported us this far!

Transracial,  that's a new term but I've seen a lot of it in real life, ha. Just curious could you ballpark how much it costs to hire voice talent from stage32?

Originally, I brought on a Stage 32 actress.  She did each line in a different sounding voice, omitted a lot of the dialogue from the script, and then recorded herself saying she hated it, hoped it got lots of unlikes on YouTube... and hoping her parents don’t see it.  Maybe she was joking... but unprofessional and unusable.

The actress we used is a SAG-AFTRA professional.  We signed our production on under the SAG New Media schedule, so that she could legally work on this episode.  A lot of my new stuff, including “The Three Skeletons” (on our Oz channel) are Chaplin-esque comedies... although I do need voices for my sci-fi adventure webseries... which is also on hold because actors (including some from Stage 32) have not come through as expected.

Such is life in the low/no-budget world...

I will be glad when I have funds to bring DiCaprio on board...

@Dwayne,

I enjoyed the story.  Even though I saw the word "transracial" in other people's comments, the story still caught me by surprise. w00t   Wouldn't it be interesting if everyone could develop that talent?  Thanks for creating and sharing.

It would come in handy... especially when the Beverly Hills police officers are following my car.  ;-)
