Perhaps this question has been addressed before. If so, please direct me to the correct thread. I've been vectorizing scanned pen art into Illustrator. Is there a way to take my character parts from Adobe Illustrator and use them in CrazyTalk without developing the character in Flash? Thanks.

Other than exporting each piece individually and importing each into CTA directly via the Character Composer but it's a tedious and long process.

only as mentioned above. by creating each piece individually and exporting from AI and using the sprite replacement feature one sprite at a time.
Otherwise, you really should make an effort to use flash. (or drawplus).

If you can export the parts from Illustrator in svg format you could possibly use DrawPlus and the DrawPlus Character Template (comes with the Pipline version) to assemble your character and then import it in one shot into CTA 2 rather than importing each piece individually.
