crazytalk on eshop with no ftp

hi,

i have an eshop that offers no normal ftp - its does however allow customising of template html etc.

i want to use a crazytalk animation in my eshop - question is can i ftp the CT files to a separate webspace & then link to them from the eshop page.

any help appreciated,

Yes, of course, as long as the back-end allows you to add or modify HTML in your shop.

thanks for your reply,

on doing some further research regarding implementing of CT on a website i found that a user is required to upload a CT viewer in order to view is this true? - for obvious reasons this would not be very good for an eshop.

can the avatar be embedded by some other means thereby not requiring the CT viewer - CT info is very vague regarding the above issues.

Yes, that is correct, visitors will have to download the CrazyTalk webplayer in order to be able to view the talking character.

The advantages of the webplayer are the very small size of the content files and its interactivity. Still users will have to at least confirm the download and installation and require appropriate system privileges.

Possible alternatives are the implementation as video (eg. Windows Media Video) or Flash (direct export option will be available in CrazyTalk 5). See also Web Multimedia Tutorial.

thanks for your help - will wait untill CT 5 is available - i believe other interesting features such as 'puppeteering' are included.
