Hello,
my suggestion for future upgrades is a bigger timeline.
The actual one is too small although I am using 2 monitors.
i am wondering why this feature is not available since CT first edition.....

I have the same problem; 2 monitors (plenty enough 'screen estate') but the Timeline is hard to work with because there's no way to resize the whole thing.
My workaround at the moment: changing resolution of my left monitor (where in my case the timeline is) to low res, so the timeline gets bigger a lot.
Quickly changing resolutions on the Mac can be done by different kind of (free) utils, I guess it's the same for Window machines. I use a free utility called DisplayMode (OSX).
