Hi Everyone,

We are very excited to announce that a new version of CrazyTalk Unity Plugin has just been released and is now compatible with Unity 5.  This new update package also includes a version for Unity 4.X while keeping to the same CrazyTalk API.  Please follow the steps below to obtain this update:

Step1: Delete the previous CrazyTalk Unity Plugin (v1.02)
Step2: Click the following link to download the newest version (v1.03)
http://file.reallusion.com/ct/CT_Unity_Plugin.unitypackage
Step3: Open the file and double click the file named Unity Package.unitypackage
Step4: Click import to complete the entire installation.

Please note:
1)    For Unity 5 the demo project is included in the Assets folder increasing the total file size to 51MB.
2)    This update does not address the compatibility issues with Unity 5 global illumination and ambient source skybox.

Best regards,

The sound didn't work on unity pro (mac os) when we run and we test the animations.

I had the same issue.

After decompressing the .unitypackage file I noticed that everything was located in the "output" folder.
That structure does not align to what is mentioned in the accompanying README file.

When I moved both the "CTPlugin" folder and "Resources" from the "output" folder back up to the top level "Assets" folder (as per the README file) the sound worked just fine!

I hope that helps you, too.

Hello,
I am creating a virtual environment using unity, and I want to create a virtual avatar that speaks, show facial expressions and move.
Which software you are suggesting that can be integrated with unity?

This thread is about the CrazyTalk Unity Plugin. This has been discontinued for a few years now and is no longer available.

However if you want to create virtual avatars for Unity, then you may be interested in Character Creator 3 Pipeline. This allows direct export to Unity. Please click the link below to find out more.
