I tried switching to the skin section and turn the opacity down but it works on every bone *except* the jaw bone. What is the trick to make the jaw invisible on the clone bone 2 character?
Thanks,
ts

Any reason you need to use the Clone Bone B avatar?
'Cause I see what you mean it seems to be a visible object with no way to hide it other than checking the "Show" box in the Scene manager. Which hides the avatar completely ....which might work for ya.

Now the Clone Bone A avatar can be made invisible with the Opacity slider in the Modify panel and a few Black Opacity Maps for the mouth and eyes.

Mark,
I was using the jaw bone to make a mouth when playing around with clone bones for the first time. I had watched some videos on clone bones and remembered it was said you could turn the opacity down or off to get rid of bones that you don't want to see. Perfect, I thought. Except it doesn't work with the jaw bone for some reason. :D I can work around it I guess but I may ask tech support as maybe it is a simple fix. If I turn off the avatar then anything I have attached as far as pieces for the character disappear too and that is unusable.
Thanks,
ts

Say Goodbye to Jawbone

Thanks Cricky. Does this mean I can just change the opacity in 3DX but still use the jawbone in my character? I think that is what you are showing me in the pic?

Followup: I just created a Clone Bone C avatar using a black opacity map and selected the jaw from the list and it works great. I guess I could get lucky and try to click on the now invisible jaw bone too, but the main thing is that it works.
Thanks again,

I see you already have the answer to this in your later response. I didn't come back to read any further until now. Problem solved.

Problem solved, thanks. New problem or question for you. Is there any way I can make the jaw bone rotate further than it does when using a sound clip or voice speech clip? I am trying to make a mouth move and it needs to move more than the sound makes the jaw bone rotate. Does it only move with sound?
Thanks,
ts

edit: I figured it out. I used the facial puppet and made a recording after setting the jaw parameter. I always get smarter *right after* I ask the question. :P
