Is there a way to reverse iclone prop hair?

Like if gwynn has hair that is brush to the left, can I flip the direction of the way her hair is?
also is there a way to make hair thats modern?

Hair combed in the wrong direction? Mirror it and replace it.




To do a more "Modern" hair just look for hair that appears to belong to someone that recently crawled out of bed and never owned a comb or hair brush; that's what modern hair looks like. :)

If you want to keep it as iHair, then just do an export/replace of the mesh from 3DXchange5. I tried mirroring in two different programs. Blender worked perfectly. Misfit Model, not so perfectly. ;)

Exporting and replacing mesh for the hair has one problem.. It loses one Poly, so 3dXChange thinks it isn't the same hair, as poly face count has to match exactly.

It's thinking there is a morph, which technically it is, but it reorganizes the structure in a mirror, and 3dXchange like most programs gets confused when trying a replacement of the mesh.

The G5 models also use connection points for the iHair. That could be why it chokes on replacement. I tried to export and replace without changing the look and it replaces fine, but not after the hair is mirrored. I figured why not just make hair an accessory, as technically that is what it is anyway.

The prop/accessory replacement is more cooperating, so I prefer that as a method when doing this. Less fight, more productive.

The actual process of flipping or mirroring the hair takes about 20 minutes to setup and save the completed product. It is then just a repeat of the pipeline process of in and out.

The repeat goes quickly and is about 10 minutes for each new hair style you want to change and have saved and ready to apply to future models. Once you've done it the 1st time, the next one is piece of cake.

The demo videos always take longer with screen captures, labeling and video demos. So thanks for saying you appreciate it.
