iClone Message Panel - WTF?

I have just installed my new iClone 5 and gathered all the bonus material and updated to 5.51 etc. I've been viewing the tutorials and was excited to try it out but...

There is a small square in the bottom right corner of my work space in iClone 5 that doesn't seems to exist elsewhere. It is not on a help topic and not in any tutorial that I've viewed. It appears like the middle button at the top of a windows screen where you maximize a window when it is maximized. You know the double screen icon? That's the icon in the little square.

When I click on it a box opens up that says iClone Message Panel. There are no messages and above the little square which does not go away there appear up and down arrows so I can scroll through what is not there. There is no X to close it. There is no setting choice to close it. There is no hot key (that I could find) to close it.

How am I to remove this annoying square so I can view my workspace uninhibited? Small as it is, it covers the last words in the sample projects so I can't read them.

Help please.

It is pretty annoying, but is not a bug. Just a bit of design compromise. It will pop up a message from time-to-time. It's a fairly recent addition to the UI, and hopefully will go away (or be moved) with iClone 6.

Forum Member Sen Posted a Fix some time-ago, for me.

Can't remember what it was, though. Poss either a Registry Fix or iClone Program File Deletion.

I deleted it in one of iC5's Versions but got it back again in a later Version.

The Messages are warnings or prompts, when you try to eg; Attach an Object to itself.

Sen PMed me the Fix, Job. I "Think" it was poss a Program File deletion. I've had a quick look, but can't see anything that's obviously related.

Send Sen a PM. He might like to Post Fix in this Thread.:)

If you need it , ok .

1- Make a copy of MessagePanelScrip.iscript and save it in another folder
Path : C:\Program Files (x86)\Reallusion\iClone 5\Content

2- Now , in this folder open MessagePanelScript.iscript and delete all , save .

3- Start iclone5 :)

Simplest Solution: Just open the scene manager, and switch off visibility (or delete) the image layer which has the message. :)

The area referred to in this thread is not an image layer, so your advice is not a solution.

Briefly, the Subject refers to the built in message panel (Visible in the lower right of the scene play area) that gives information on things that could assist users when they encounter errors in their projects due to improper or invalid selections, or information to assist them in making proper selections for things such as Physics.

I have a similar issue and need to remove the Iclone message panel, which not only obstructs, but gets included in the exported video file. Help! I read a solution about moving an iscript file but I don't know how to do this. Can someone give me the steps?

Follow the instructions posted by Sen here. This is only for iClone 5, in iClone 6 it can be turned off in the Preferences Panel.
