We need a system whereby when we haven't selected anything, the camera will rotate around an invisible central pivot always 50 feet in front of the camera instead of having to keep on clicking on objects just in front.

With larger sets becoming more common place it's really awkward trying to navigate about when you constantly have to keep clicking on things to move around as, when you over take something, the x,y,z, becomes inverted or incredibly slow.

This has been an irritation since the beginning of iCLone. If this can be fixed in version 6 it would be a Godsend and everybody will benefit.

So, instead of having to click on something, we can DESELECT anything and havea roaming camera easily directional where ever we are on set.

Thankyou for reading.

Experiment with the N and M hotkeys (also possibly the C and V keys).

Yes, I like it too.  Good idea.

Addition... If you have nothing selected, Clicking the "Home" key should go to the global origin, like when you first open up an empty project.  (Maybe it already does that.  But if it doesn't, it should.)

P.S.

That "Home key" sure is a nice feature.  I can't believe how long it took me before I really discovered it, but when learning iClone I mostly used a couple of props and one avatar, all near the origin, so it didn't really do much.  But yeah, once you have a full outdoor set, it's a lifesaver.

This has my vote as well.

Maybe make the pivot point distance adjustable depending on the needs of your scene?

Thank you for the suggestion. This has been passed to the iClone team for consideration.
