Output for 4k, ie highest resolution possible

Hello. I just produced a stunning render, sharp where it should be sharp, at 3000x2024 pixels. A single frame. I haven't spent long experimenting with output, but I'm more than a little interested in doing animated shorts for the new 4k market. I'm a large shareholder in Ntek (In fact I can't resist junk food when programming and am unappealingly overweight). Ntek produces a device to receive and show 4k movies fast. They are looking to buy content, Independently produced Red Cam films, and currently they are building a large library of film rights and remastering them in their own 4k studio. 4k is Red Camera quality. That is 4026 x 2023 resolution. It would be a joy if I could output Targa sequences, or even still pictures at that resolution. What are the limitations of the Iclone render? I know everyone that reads these posts knows me as a newbie and a bungler, but I'm serious about this, trying to learn lighting and camera and animation, and what can be done with Iclone 5 is amazing. I just registered two domain names associated with 4k animation. Has anyone tested the upper limits of output resolution?

You can do image sequences. I use PNG, but TGA is available as well. The largest image width is currently 3000 pixels, but I don't think there is a technical reason not to go higher.

Of course, you'll need high resolution textures as well. Currently, iClone's max is 8k x 8k. (I've seen 16kx16k mentioned but I have never been able to get to that setting if it exists). This means projects will have a large size, and a GPU with a lot of memory will be good thing.

Thank you. I couldn't find any mention of size limits in the PDF. I'll have to experiment. The beauty of it is you can set up your shots and render them much smaller until you get them right.
I thought about textures. I seem to have no problem making things look satisfactory. The objects usually don't fill the entire scene and look perfectly good. There would be a problem getting photo realistic faces and characters. It can't be done. I believe you have to get the viewer interested in the story and what's happening to the character, and present it well with lighting and depth of field. I start my movie in a hotel lobby, and just before the main character comes on, a child is talking to her mother, "Mommy I'm scared, everyone looks like puppets!" Of course my stuff is tongue in cheek and surreal.

I'm looking forward to what you'll come up with. I like surreal (paintings as well).

You can also enter a wishful feature request. It may have been done in the past, but that would have been a while ago. 4K seems to be getting more common, even at home, so RL may be interested.

Thank you mucho. 3840 x 2160 seems a standard for Ultra Hi Def. I seem to be able to crank Iclone 5 up to 3000 pixels wide, so rendering a Targa image sequence at an analogue of that number using the 3000 width which could be multiplied up to 3840x2160, then software sharpened to compensate for the enlargement, produced a nice clean image. Something about that test on one of my webpages. Of course the photo on that page was reduced for the web but still looks pretty.
