Is there a measurement size chart min/max for the background, props etc.

I see in the CTA whitepaper document there is something for actors but it would be nice to have a reference chart without going around the sticks to find these.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi George,

Each grid section in CrazyTalk Animator is 100 x 100 centimetres by default. You can use this grid size as a unit reference.

Hi Peter 100 centimeters = 39.37" seems a lot or do you mean 100 millimeters = 3.93"

Centimetres is correct. :)

Each grid section in CrazyTalk Animator, by default, is 100 x 100 centimeters. You should use the grid as a unit reference.

Each character in CrazyTalk Animator must be set to 200-centimeters tall. (The z value must be 0)

For image/video/swf media, the mapping ratio for pixels to unit is 5 pixels to 1 centimeter.

Hi Peter, just today I started using Crazy Talk, so I'm really a newbie. So please forgive me if I am confused here. I am trying to understand the size relationships of the background and figures. What is the best size of a background image? Would it be 500 X 500 pixels if I understand the ratio of pixels to centimeters correctly. That would mean the figure would be 2500 pixels high. I bet you you can tell math is not one of my strengths. Thanks!

Hi Again,

Rereading my earlier post, I see I did make a serious math error. Well, it was before my first of many cups of coffee. Anyway, I should have figured 200 centimeters x 5 pixels = 1000 pixels for the height.

In the mean time I am going to create some test JPEGs in Photoshop today to see if I can create a reference library of sizes. If I am succesful, I will post them and appreciate a review of forum members to see if I am on the right track.

Thanks!

All the best-

Bernie

LOVE this software.
