How about a plugin for Gmaxhttp://www.turbosquid.com/gmax

Hi, Sifr

Thanks for sharing it with us.
As I know, we don't have plan to develop plug-in for other third party tools at present.

But we will love to hear more possibilities to expand the application around iClone.

Thanks

Why not Gmax, 3d Studio Max isn't too much different, it just has more features.  The plugin shouldn't be that hard to create.

Hi Sifr,

The decision may be down to Gmax being discontinued by Autodesk and is no longer updated or supported by them. The program hasn't been officially updated for a long time, and is now handled by Turbosquid. Also I doubt that Gmax would be able to rig the bone system used for the characters in iClone.

How about some research and feedback, or maybe you can aquire the program from turbosquid or maybe work out some kind of agreement with them, or a bone rig for gmax.  Wait a minute, it just hit me, model in any program, bone rig and export to iClone format in 3d Xchange.

Wings 3d is not bad for a FREE 3d modelling tool.  http://www.wings3d.com/

Even using 3d Wings you still have the issue of bone attachment to the model, so it can use the iClone animation motions.
