Help needed! I am new to iClone and I am trying to figure out how to import text images and graphics.  Can some please explain how I can accomplish this.  What file formats can be imported?

Thanks

Hi Mark,

If you mean 2D images as backgrounds then you just go to Stage - 2D Background and then click the Open button the Modify Panel (See image below)

The image formats you can use are JPG, BMP, PNG or GIF.

Hi Peter,

Yes, that is perfect.  I would like to use iClone to create instructional presentations and web-based instruction so, importing text and graphical images created in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is important.  One other question, I also have Crazy Talk but within iClone is there a way to sync narration (Mp3 audio files)to the 3-D charters?

Thanks so much.

All you need to do to get your character talking is the following:

Load up a character of your choice.

Go to Animation - Facial Animation

Then on the Modify Panel choose to either open an MP3 or WAV file, Record your own voice or use Text To Speech to generate the voice. If you are working with more than one character then just switch between them and add vocals to each in turn.

That's all there is to it really.

Thanks Peter!  It is possible to import 2-D images (jpg and gif) not just as backgrounds?

You can use an image file as a texture for avatars, props, scenery, particle sfx, virtually every object in iClone can have images added to them.

There is a lot of information on this in the online help guide. Just press F1 when in iClone. It's well worth checking out.
