3D Modelling For iClone.

iClone is the first application which can work with the models created from Google™ SketchUp perfectly. By working with SketchUp6 (FREE edition), iClone users can turn the models in Google native 3D format (.skp) to real-time worlds and high quality video. Furthermore, any iClone user (even without 3D modeling background) can download tons of 3D models from Google 3D Warehouse for FREE. Whether you are a 3D modeler or not, you can turn any simple shape or model into incredible visual experience in iClone.

To find out more and watch example videos, click the image below and visit the brand new 3D Modelling page for iClone.

I agree - those tutorials were very informative. Thanks.

Informative links...everyone should take the time to look at the sample videos as a minimum. Very well done and shows the functionality of iClone in a common sense approach.

Congratulations!

I like the tutorial about the interior scene design ... Now, I realize that we could get a great realistic 3D scenes with iClone.
The final render is worthy of great render engines such as Mentalray, V-Ray, Brazil or Maxwell and all this in realtime! iClone permits us to save hours!

I understood the lesson: texture, light and shadow contrast;)

Hi, all

Thanks for your feedbacks on this kind of tutorial.
To have better visual quality of your scene, Reallusion will keep present a series of material packs for your selection.
In the near future, we will also introduce some texture editor in our website.
So, you can be led to create your own texture library easily.

Thanks
Visconti

Thanks for those. There great. Certainly the best so far.
Is there any chance (in an Oliver Twist voice) we could have some more please.

It would be great if we could see one or two dealing with adding characters to one of the scenes built in the first two. (good character interaction is still something that mystifies me a little)

Many thanks again

Hi,

just a lil question regarding iclone, 1st of all im a newbie, i've been a poser & daz studio user before, but now i'm gonna try out iclone. After testing out my new software, im just a little curious....

- is it possible to crop the motion at the frames you desired? Say from 1 to 50 frames, but i just want it to be between 20 to 50 frames and save it into library ?

- motion files are stored as imotion format in iclone, is it possible to export , or convert them into diffrent format, such as BVH.... etc? any converter tool for that?

- finally about the forum u posted(3d modelling), does this include in modelling and character rigging? or just for static props? What program typically use to create iclone character...

:)

im apologize if those questions are not related with this post, btw hope there's a reply.

thanks!!

Hi,

To answer your questions:

- is it possible to crop the motion at the frames you desired? Say from 1 to 50 frames, but i just want it to be between 20 to 50 frames and save it into library ?

Yes you can "break" motions at any point, shrink or stretch and also reverse.

- motion files are stored as imotion format in iclone, is it possible to export , or convert them into diffrent format, such as BVH.... etc? any converter tool for that?

No. iMotion files can not be exported from iClone.

- finally about the forum u posted(3d modelling), does this include in modelling and character rigging? or just for static props? What program typically use to create iclone character...

Currently you will require 3DS Max to rig and skin new iClone characters. However a new version of 3DXchange is coming soon which will allow easier creation of new characters for iClone. More information will be coming soon about the excting new features of 3DXchange 4.0.

Hope this helps a little.

WOW, thats great, can't wait for new version of 3dxchange, i was jz hoping for alternative way other than to use 3ds max:laugh:, i'll like to try it out as soon as it releases!
