Hi,
I have 2 problems with Iclone 4 pro (for the moment, i have the trial version of popvideo converter )
I re-install, iclone4 pro and popvideo converter because when i want to display a popvideo file on iclone, i have the message : "this video is not seek able".
But after the ré-installation, it's the same message.
The other problem is when i want to display a avi file on a 3d block, there is this message : "the file cannot be imported because the codec is not recognized in your system".
Theses two kinds of files displayed in a first time, it was ok, but now , no.
Please, what can i do ?

Hi Jacky,

Unfortunately codec issues are common because there just so many types of compression (codecs) used for videos and every computer will have different codecs installed.

Personally I try to stick to just a couple of video formats that I know give good results. Trying to support every type of video on your system is likely to cause more hard than good.

If you want to use AVI video, try installing DivX or Xvid codecs. For .MOV format install the latest Quicktime. On top of those, you can use WMV as most Windows systems will support this without requiring additional codecs.

Then if you run into problems with a video, use a Video Converter to convert to the format of your choice. A great video converter is Format Factory and it is free. :)

Hi peter,
....and thank you for your help.
The popvideo's files from "popvideo converter" turn without problem there are somes days.
It is when i install ... i don't remenber the progam, perhaps "real player" or "itunes", and from there : impossible to incorpore a popvideo's file to iclone4pro.
In a first time, i desinstalled divx, xvid, ffdshow.. because the other message was :"the file cannot be imported because the codec is not recognized in your system" and when i started windows XP (sp2), the display of all icones was very slow.
I desinstall, too, iclone and popvideo converter (trial).
So, i desinstalled the graphic card's driver, and re-install this, and codecs divx / xvid...and now, my pc is very rapid.
After re-install iclone, popvideo.. again the message in iclone4 : "this video is not seek able".

So, what is the sense of "this video is not seek able" ?
It is a problem of codec ?

Hi Jacky,

I would certainly advise updating your Windows XP to service pack 3 as a first step.

Then check to see if the problem is still present.
