With so many issues taking place regarding the latest version of iClone and re-editing the scenes I have for iClonia's 3 min. short as a commercial intro entity, this isn't at fist glance a heavy graphic, but 'though the anim-short holds more appeal and I thought this worthy of posting. I'll explain why.
Alot of work has gone into this Character, "Tashy."
I'm fighting with including / excluding / including / excluding the dragon as part of the overall brand. I think I may simply use it as an occassional element with "Tashy" as, in truth the character Tashy has been developed in grey to suit the psychologicaly balanced "informative" data; she's the "here and now" of potential.
Whereas the Dragon is the vehicle that spans normality and imagination and after it's inclusion anything is permissible as it vehicles the viewer from standard to non standard impressions.
The dragon is an exceptionally complex creature to animate. Nothing wrong with that. You can use it with standard motions if you wish, but to stylise such poses as the above, time and patience rule.
(Reallusion, PLEASE put the positioning gizmo in a corner so that we see the "box" highlit as the segment for editing - and the gizmo offcentre and unobstructing. I know the programming for such requests is astronmical but I am always fighting time.)
The main element for this otherwise simple lighting, overlooked and unsung, is the light Multiplier upper right (below) in the lighting control panel.
This brilliantly allows superb degres of [key light v. ambient light] and also, by far, is a superior method of controlling the contrast and dominance of shadowing by allowing the overpowering of ambience.
Top marks for this inclusion. This is a good project. I can forward the animations now.
