Hi,

I'm using CrazyTalk on a Mac using VMware Fusion (effectively running windows on a mac). Two problems: 1. it is incredibly slow 2. When I bring in an image it looks fine, for about 3 seconds. Then it becomes blurred and the output ends up equally blurred. I'm new at this so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Any help appreciated.

Laurence

Hi Laurence

I have no personal experience of using CrazyTalk 6 on a Mac but it does sound like a graphics card issue to me. Normally the PC advice would be to update the graphics drivers but this is not so simple on your setup. I would advise contacting Technical Support using the link below. They will be able to advise you further on this issue.

The original question relates to Mac users rather than PC's.

This type of problem on PC's is normally related to your graphics card drivers or settings. Is the problem on export to video only or when using CrazyTalk itself?

First thing you should do is ensure your graphics drivers are up to date and you have also updated CrazyTalk 6 to the latest version which is 6.21.

Doing these two things will normally resolve most graphical issues.

I have Crazy Talk 6.21 and used it quite a bit in Fall of 2010, with good results. I tried using it recently and it wouldn't work so I reinstalled it. Since re-installation, it's useless.

System Info: Compaq Presario CQ60
AMD Athlon Dual-Core QL62 2.00 GHz
3.00 GB (2.75 GB usable)
32-bit Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium N

The problem:

1. Every action is incredibly slow, maybe 30 seconds to open a new project, select a picture for a model, and any further action takes similar time. A 4 second render took 4 or 5 minutes and looked horrible, though the mouth worked (at least).

2. The imported picture for the model starts out fine but quickly blurs badly.

3. I look at Task Manager and it is taking up 50% of the CPU, more or less, even when doing nothing.

4. I have tried the graphics fixes and nothing changes.

Something is very very wrong here. The program is now totally unusable. It worked before, but after reinstallation, it's useless.
