Hello guys i have problem and hope to solution any chance

- i wish to create my own iclone avatars or even non human avatars

-- when i export my .obj avatar from 3dxchange , i get my final exported file as pprops only
and when i drop it to iclone i get it only as props not to get it as avatar

i wish to get it as avatar in order to apply iclone motion animation files

what shall i do please

Hello guys i have problem and hope to solution any chance

You can't change the number of vertices in an avatar--at least not the number of vertices at the connection zones found in the neck, waist, hands, and feet. If you do, 3DXC4 rejects the mesh as an avatar.

to me it sounds like you are creating an OBJ. file and to are trying to export it, to iclone through 3dxchange, which shows up as a prop.

problem 1. OBJ.'s don't have enough information to make into an avatar. ( mainly because obj.'s are just mesh and uv's )

problem 2. (if you have a fbx. with bones ) you need to convert it to a non-human character first then export it to iclone.

problem 3. non-human character rigs ( avatars you made up yourself ) can't use normal premade animation files. say a motion pack.

Thanks for all what you explained above , but how do i create fbx with bones kin what prog ?

by other way , i wish to bring daz3d avatar to iclone and apply motions to it please

please advice what is best way to create avatars for iclone and/or import daz3d (i saw youtubr tutorial but it come as prop only !

Keep in mind that they loose their morph targets when you bring them into iClone - so fancy morphed adaptations of Victoria / Mike will likely revert to plain old Mike/Victoria once they're in iClone.
