Not much more to ask. I found this great dagger with 3Dexchange but I need to get it bloody. Any ideas on how to do that?

Two methods:

(1) Attach a "blood" particles prop
(2) Load a drippy video into the Blend channel for the blade

(1) Pros
- Fully 3D solution, falls from blade, fast/easy
(1) Cons
- Looks like puffs of red light, not blood

(2) Pros
- Looks like blood, if the right video is used
(2) Cons
- Restricted to the blade surface, requires video

Thanks for the tips. I've tried the blood particle. It's a little weak.  I'm looking at the other plan of importing a movie and using blend. Seems even more complicated.

You could always instead import an image, but it would never have the same realism.

I have revisited this thread as I was looking for a method on doing this myself. Though there are now a couple of props available to do this in the store, I have accomplished the effect using just the default _morph Water Drop prop from the supplied props with IC7.



Eight years on, mind. I expect the original movie by sahied has long since been completed.
