I used iClone 8 to clean up motion capture, this meant that all movement animated the root motion, while the pivot stays at 0,0,0. This however makes that if you want to transition these animations to stationary animations with pivot at 0 the transition has the character moving to the pivot and rotating to try and line up. For example if you look at Mixamo animations, you see that when you import them into Unity the pivot moves with the character as they walk around. The pivot does not stay in place while the root motion moves, nor do the characters keep moonwalking at 0,0,0 like you would with treadmill animations. This pivot animation would be ideal for my project.Is there a way to make this mocap root motion a pivot motion instead? Either my modifying it or through export settings I might've missed? This should fix the transition issues, as both clips have the pivot where the character starts/ends.
