I dont own an iphone. I wonder in order to download that mocap app for iphone how much would i additionally have to spend.
I guess i need a mobile internet contract, then pay for the Apple Store, then download that app.
Can anyone call an everage price or monthly costs for that ?
Does the app require and a permamant internt connection or is there an offline way to install it ?
I do not really need an iphone and spending mmonthly fees to a provider or apple wouldnt make much sense to me
when i only only want to get a mocap solution ? I wonder why RL is not providing an app for PC just like the
face tracker for CTA5. That would probably save a bunch of money too.

Hi...

You will only need to purchase the iPhone Live Face Profile and of course the iPhone itself (iPhone X or higher, not SE models).

Once you have purchased the iPhone Live Face Profile you can download the Live Face App from the Apple App Store on your phone. This is totally free and there is no subscription to worry about.

You also don't need a mobile/cellphone contract if you only plan to use the iPhone with iClone.

How would i download that app whithout a contract ? I mean i must somehow get online with that Phone. Can this be done through LAN Cable or PC ?

Why? You configure WiFi, create an account with Apple store and download RL app.

just connect your phone to a Wifi network and download what you need. No SIM card mobile network plan required.

Though my PC doesnt have any Wireless Hardware, only a Cable into my Internet Router which has a wireless access. Will i be able to run that app through that Router into my pc or do i need
additional hardware to make my PC explicitely Wifi (where i connect the iphone to) ?

To run LiveFace, just connect your iPhone to the router with an internet cable. For best results you should turn off the Wifi of your phone.

You will need an Lightning to Ethernet adapter, which is about $15 (Lightning is the name of the connector on iPhones).

I seem to have misplaced mine :crying: but as I recall I got it from Amazon.

I just plug the iPhone/USB "charging" cable (w/data pins, of course) into the USB port of my PC.  You will need to pay attention to the IP address that the PC/router assigns to the phone in order to use LiveFace (always add ":999" after the IP address!)

If using a Live Face, make sure you get an iPhone with a True Depth camera. This means you can probably save money by getting an older iPhone - X or higher model.
I use Live Face with an iPad pro using WiFi. I've considered getting an old iPhone if I ever want to try a helmet mount.
