..After deep thought, was wondering what's the point to Reallusion, Blender, Adobe....when all you have to do is write a prompt in Midjourney, and have amazing artwork and characters in a matter of minutes...please someone explain to me that I didn't waste money on software over the years...I think I am done spending money on software and add-ons. This has me really rethinking what learning 3D software and artwork for that matter, this new technology is really getting me down.

Absolutely, turn off your brain and let something else do your creativity. There is absolutely no satisfaction in using one's brain to any great degree, doing something on your own, a job well done...the list goes on. It's all so intimidating an unfair.

I see what you are saying but I have spent years learning Blender to get to a level I am proud of, spent thousands of dollars on all Reallusion products, 2 years at an Art School which costs thousands...now little kids that can write a sentence can make amazing artwork...that is the conflict I am in.

Understand, but then why would anyone study piano, violin the kazoo, learn to read and write if a computer can do 'em just as well?

If all you ever create are still image Illustration renders, as a hobby with no copyright concerns ,then frankly there is less reason to invest in complicated 3D software Eco systems Like Daz, Reallusion even Blender these days.
For 3D Character animation the AI systems are not there yet but expensive Mocap suits& Systems are next to soon become obsolete.

I really enjoy messing with animation....I guess I didn't get into it with the thought I would be able to make a living at it. It was simply fun and a tool I thought might help me on some projects as a DP / media production business. As media-productions slowed through the years, as I got older and anyone with a cell-phone became a better filmmaker than I. I had to reinvent myself. Much like the "buggy-whip" craftsman of old, every generation has to deal with change at some point I guess. Fortunately I was able to find a rather lucrative niche using my limited iClone skills for stage productions. No doubt that will change in the future due to AI in some form or fashion and I will have to change or fade away. Bottom line I had fun and enjoyed doing what I did. I'm thankful I am able to make a living using iClone but even if I hadn't I had great fun and I don't regret having spent the time and money.

I can appreciate op post - I can share my view on it ...first i started with cg to make graphics for my song releases, then i realized i understood it as it was similar to music production, and was getting good at it fast - each step i got closer to getting better meant learning more tools for more details ...iclone was perfect - because it went from 1 click characters, and over time allowed me space to grow to work in other softwares and keep it in my workflow ......ultimately the idea is to get my ideas out quickly - the clearer the vision i have of what i want to create, the more control i need of the output and not just anything will do. addressing your question with another question, why make movies when I can watch youtube or netflix ? sometimes I use ai art, because it's enough, and other times i'm using blender, 3D coat, marvelous designer, and a ton of other obscure 3D software because what I'm envisioning doesn't exist - if I just wanted to make music, then ai would be enough, but i'm a full metal artist both visual audio ...and cooking dinner, sometimes i need to film what I can't find on netflix lol. - and netflix does not have space zombies that know kung fu - which i find disappointing lol how about challenging yourself to recreate the characters you can generate on midjourney in iclone so you can animate them any way you like in your own movie ? ( and thanks to this most awesomely honest op post, i have a new idea to add to my todo list, midjourney does generate some awesome characters i'd love to animate! - concept artists just got replaced, not animators. )

I don't think so , I guess it will take some more time. MCSuits especially the xsens are way more accurate , especially feet sliding. I am a Beta Tester for Wonder Studio and it is a lot of fun and you can get really good mocaps out of it but it will need some more time to be as accurate as a suit. For nearby shots it is great , for full body it depends on the quality of the footage and the size of the character but I see it as YOU , it is the future ! I think if you can't see the benefit then there's nobody going to push you into learning any RL stuff. We're at the beginning of what I'll call the "AI Revolution". It's going to get better and better at doing what it does - but right now, it's relatively second-rate in that it's hard to guide towards a specific goal and there's a prejudice against it for a number of legitimate reasons. Personally, I'm happy to learn to use AI and keep up with the developments but I've achieved some things in the last12 months that wouldn't have happened if I'd been purely using AI. Some things I couldn't have done if I were using AI: I won an art prize for the third year in a row with a digital illustration. AI images are banned in most art competitions, and probably always will be in the "legitimate" art world. I've co-written a script for a feature film that's going into production later in the year. I'm sure if you've kept up with the WGA advice, you'll know that you need to prove that the story is substantially your own work rather than AI generated for it to be accepted. And I made a proof concept episode for an animated series using iClone that's been picked up by a producer and a streaming network for production next year. Again, there's zero chance that they would even be talking to me if I'd done some sort of 1-click AI thing. But AI tools are coming. I think anyone who isn't keeping track and developing a solid understanding of how they work will eventually get left behind. Then success will be less about artistic skill than it will be about who has something socially relevant to say with their creations. Whether literature or the visual arts, the stories you tell will be the only way you get to stand out in a word where creativity is push-button disposable. It's entirely up to you to decide what your personal artistic future will look like.

I use iclone to have fun. If you are using iclone to try to make money from it, then you have a lot of likeminded people who are doing the same thing. You are in a crowd trying to get noticed. Everybody thinks they are going to have the next big hit. I have entered many Publisher's Clearing House Contests, I have bought one item the past 8 years. And I have given more money to PCH than they have given to me. There has to be a good reason for you to have purchased Reallusion products, or you would not have done it. If some people have learning problems or are physically handicapped (without arms and such), then AI is a wonderful Art Tool for them. AI lets them draw and paint with their words and mind.
