Running iClone 8.12 Trial on Windows 10.
When I hit the "timeline" button, the timeline window doesn't open. The only way to get the timeline window to open is to go to workspace->animation.

What about if you press the F3 button. This should toggle the Timeline on and off. Does this work?

Thank you for the response. Hitting "F3" produces the same result: Nothing. Same goes for the dropdown itself: Window->Timeline. Nothing happens (other than the dropdown item getting a "checkmark" next to it).

Quick update. It appears that having three monitors attached to my system was throwing iClone off. Two monitors (A & B) are "stacked" vertically and the third ("C") is to the right, positioned (vertically) in the middle of the two. When I unplugged monitor C, the timeline began appearing on monitor B, even though main iClone window was on "A". A ------ C B

Thanks for explaining more. Switching between different monitor setups is known to cause issues with panels seemingly disappearing. If you plan on sometimes using a single screen and sometimes multiple screens, it is advised to always return the timeline and all other moved windows/panels to the main screen before closing down.

Got it. Just to be clear, I've had this 3 monitor configuration for quite some time. I only changed it (unplugging the 3rd monitor) during the problem isolation process, not prior to. Anyway, thanks for the confirmation that it's a known issue.

Also, is there a fix in the works for this, or at least a workaround (short of keeping my 3rd monitor unplugged)? Right now, the only way I can see the timeliine is to switch to the "Animation" workspace.

For future generations: The cause of the problem was having monitors with different values for "scale" in Windows Settings. Two were at 125% and one was at 100%. When I made them all 125%, the problem went away.
