Hello, everyone, when switching to CTA5, some packages were not taken over. So the Cartoon & Monster Combo with Cartoon Motion Vol. 1 - Vol 3 and Monster Motion Vol.1 & Vol. 2 was not installed.
The same goes for some other packs with animations as well. If I try to reinstall it, the button for SMART CONTENT MANAGER / SMART GALLERY does not respond at all.
The ORIGINAL DOWNLOAD works, but installs in version 4.4. The attempt to manually copy the files to the appropriate directory also failed. The directory names appear, the files do not. It seems to be all about "iMotion".
What can I do?
Thanks an regards - Frank

Hi Frank

iMotion files was the old format which has now been replaced with the .rlMotion format.

Cartoon Animator 5 is compatible with .rlMotion files but not .iMotion unfortunately.

So, for very old packs that still use the .iMotion format, you can get them into CTA5 by opening them in CTA4 and then saving them as .ctBMotion files. You can then bring these .ctBMotion motion clips into CTA5 and use them just like any other motion clips.

Many thanks for the answer. It is a pity that the old format is no longer supported. To convert them individually, there are simply too many.

This issue mainly applies to old 3D motion packs (8 - 10 years in some cases) so really the best way is to convert them as you need them rather than trying to convert whole packs in one go.

All the more recent motion packs should work fine with CTA5.
