I started my quest with CA5
My first character started.
I want to draw it in Illustrator as SVG but CA 5 takes me to Photoshop. Why? How to change this?

export as SVG from illustrator and bring it inside CTA 5.

You will have to manually rig it though.

With Photoshop, there is a PSD template with rig points that can be used to rig the character in PSD and when imported it automatically rigs it in CTA 5.

I am not sure how that can be done with illustrator yet.

I'm not sure of the workflow you are using but the easiest way to create a SVG character is to do the following:

1. Start a new CTA5 Project.
2. Click the "Create Character" button from the left side toolbar.
3. Click Human Template (SVG) and this will open your chosen SVG editing software with the template ready.
4. Now replace the parts of the Template with your own vector images.
