The Netflix Show "The Blacklist" -
Season 7, Episode 19 - season finale .... Covid had just gone into lockdown in real life, but the producers kept it going.
They used pre-vis level animations to finish up what they couldn't film, and while I'm sure they used Maya to do it, I'm pretty sure iclone could have done the same or better. This particular episode is inspiring to me because in this episode, they are constantly switching back and forth from Real life footage and the Previs animation clips - and it was pure previs - with feet slipping and all that b animation goodness! lol - but it came out looking like a comic book - in a good way- what's inspiring about it, is that the episode did not lose any excitement because of it and almost becomes an insight and tutorial on how to film in iclone to tell a great story in a hollywood way....even with substandard animation....
Pay extra attention to the camera angles as that in particular kept the tension consistent with the real life footage. The cross over went well - especially due to the voice acting, they pulled it off and this episode can be used as a case study on how to tell great stories with iclone - foot slipping and all lol - I highly recommend watching this episode, and The blacklist is an awesome series anyways!
