I had previously reported this issue in iClone7 and it had been fixed, but it's happening again in iClone 8. The moment we launch IC8, it stresses the GPU at 50% even when the scene is empty and idle. Considering this is a 350W RTX video card, this will increase the light bills, and stress the system while doing nothing. I have checked CC4 for this, and this doesn't happen there, so it's specific to IC8.
My specs: * Windows 10 21H2 build 19044.1706 x64. * ASUS Sabertooth X99 16GB DDR4 * ASUS ROG RTX 3090 Strix 24GB DDR6X

Have you enable the "Reduce Idle Load" ?

Oh I didn't know I could do that! Thanks for the heads up. I will try that out and see. Why isn't this checked by default? What is advantage of burning out system resources on idle? I am sure there must be a reason this happens by default.

I am confirming that checking "Reduce idle load" from preferences does stop the GPU stressing on idle. Thanks for the info!
