Ok so can you not add your own animation to Motion Director? is it really just The Motion Puppet with Hot Keys ? I was Hoping for something like the Motion Trigger Plug-In but as im playing with Iclone8 Im seeing that they may have pulled the wool over our eyes if we can only use Motion Director with the pack of Motion they sell for $99 each is Not The MOVE FOR 2022!!!!
I was hoping for something like u4 or Unity Characters Motion Director but sadly that's not what we got why dose it always seem like a money grab with them Iclone8 Runs smoother but Motion Director is not what they hype it up to be
Has anyone been able to use Imotion on other animation with Motion Director??

Agreed. It could be a cornerstone feature, but it being hobbled to only allow their purchased motion packs kind of kills most of the utility. Very disappointing.

Adding your own motions will come in a future version. If you spend a little time with MD you'll find that it is far more than Motion Puppet with hot keys. Rather than complaining you could try to investigate and learn.

animagic (5/13/2022) Adding your own motions will come in a future version. That's great news! Is that speculation of has Reallusion confirmed it?

Has anyone been able to use Imotion on other animation with Motion Director??Have you watched the "Motion Director - Getting Started Tutorial" below? This shows it is most certainly not a glorified Motion Puppet and is in fact an incredibly powerful tool for animators.

Thanks, Peter, for taking the time to explain. (I'm just learning myself.)

Hi! I have no motion pack so I tried by searching for "imd" and got a short list of motions. But they are not for character animation like *.imotion. Sombat

@animagic,
I am learning myself too! What I understand is that we create a motion with motion director and create clip. This created clip will be add to motion (layer). After that we can edit this added motion clip on Timeline (break unuseful parts and delete it) for example. If we need to reuse it in the next project without using the Motion Director, we can save it as imotion file. Sombat
