I'm exporting some props from Poser.
I think I'm doing it "correctly" because sometimes it works.
The model/prop is exported correctly, and all the textures are there, but often they are switched.
I can switch them around and sometimes it works out, with eyedropper and paint.
Sometimes ONE texture is assigned to Multiple parts of the prop, so I can't apply the correct texture because it covers more than 1 part of the object.

Is the upgrade to Exchange better? I prepurchased 8 and it's included so I can wait for the upgrade, but I'd like to get this to work as is.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

That has nothing to do with the Reallusion side of things. It has more to do with the naming conventions that assets in Daz and Poser have. There are a multitude of artists making assets for Daz and Poser and they don't use a uniform naming convention for textures, so sometimes you have to do a little bit of work and fix the textures manually once you import the assets into whichever Reallusion app you are using. Just go to your Daz Library, Runtime, Textures and find the assets folder and drag and drop whatever is wonky or missing. Unlike character maps, you can use the texture maps assets, as-is.

Hi, thanks.
I wondered if that was the problem, just like only certain models can be used.
It's not that it's not working, it's just that it's assigning 1 map to everything. For example a flashlight with 3 texture maps; lens, body, head. It comes in with 1 texture applied to the head and lens. If I try to reassign, the lens using the texture map i have from the files, it changes the head and the lens to the lens file.

If you are importing the models through 3DXchange, you should really send the model from 3DXchange to iClone first before fixing the textures. You will have a much better results, I assure you.

Thanks, it has worked out that way most of the time. The only time I get into trouble is when the same texture is assigned multiple parts of whatever.
Sometimes an eyeball texture is assigned to a potted plant Wink not entirely Iclones fault as there is an eyeball inside the pot, but amazingly that one was fixable.

Thank you again for your help.
