Im excited about Cartoon Animator 5 as well. Any excuse to further improve this great 2D animation software and Im on board. I noticed a comment saying it might be released in late 2023. There has been no official word from Reallusion for the release date yet, so this is a random guess at best. Im hoping to see it well before that, and given the companies track record of updates, Id say that would be accurate. It was also suggested that the software needs to rely less on third party software like Photoshop. I think the oppopsite. I believe the more software that can be used in conjunction with CTA, the more opportunities we have for creating better animation.
As far as the suggestion that tutorials need to be better, you only need to jump on Reallusions Youtube channel and you have all the resources you could possibly need to learn the software (thats how I learnt), or you can join one of the many helpful social media groups like Cartoon Animator Users at
https://www.facebook.com/groups/CartoonAnimatorUsers which is loaded with helpful users and developers who are aleays keen to offer advice to newbies and even more experienced users.
I read the suggestion on this thread that the oragnisation of the company and professional standards need to be moved to a higher level. Sounds like someone didnt have an email replied to fast enough and is now feeling disgruntled. I dont know what higher standard of professionalism and organistion is expected, but in my experience Reallusion is a great company run by dedicated and passionate people who want to see this software succeed and flourish.
Since we are some time away from the release of CTA5 (though not as far as 2023 Im sure!), its sad to see individuals already coming out negatively against it. But then I guess you just cant please some people no matter what you do.
