I've had no end of problems with the Playset-Assassins pack. The cloaks and hoods routinely give me a "Failed to Load the File" error when I try to apply to a character. Then, Smart Gallery will often show the exclamation point in the triangle for that particular asset, so I will tell it to re-install from the server, which it does. But then it gives me the same "Failed to Load the File" problem and the cycle repeats.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Assassins playset, but I keep having the same problem.
Other packs seem to work fine.

Strange... I just tested and was able to load Hoods & Cloaks A-F without issues.

Weird. Sometimes it has worked for me, and sometimes it doesn't. Right now, it fails every time. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hello kelbyvp, Do you still have this problem now? If so, please contact Technical Support through the following link, because we cannot reproduce this problem, and we need you to provide some system information for us to check the cause of the problem. https://www.reallusion.com/CustomerSupport/UserEx/QForm.htmlThank you. Hi, Alvin,
Yes, I still have the problem. But your link doesn't work. I get a page not found error.
Thanks.

For me, the Hub still has Smart Gallery v1.2 at the moment.

Hi Alvin, Unfortunately, I can't install anything through Reallusion Hub. Anytime I try, I get this error: I have had this problem for some time. I tried downloading Smart Gallery again from this link: https://www.reallusion.com/smartgallery/ but I get an error saying that the version I already have installed is newer than the version in the link. Other suggestions?

Hi kelbyvp, I think there are some special abnormalities in your system environment. I would suggest you to contact Technical Support and attach this screenshot. Their reply usually doesn’t take too long and can provide some methods to help you solve the problem. If necessary, you may need to provide some system information. Thanks. Alvin

For anyone else who runs into this problem of not being able to install anything from the Reallusion Hub, the Reallusion team did a nice job of identifying the issue. The issue is that Windows Security's Ransomeware Protection has a "controlled folder access" which, if on, prevents Reallusion Hub from updating software. It seems to think it's ransomware. Turning off controlled folder access allows Reallusion Hub to update. I like to keep Controlled Folder Access on, but for now, I guess I'll have to temporarily turn it off whenever updating Reallusion software. I'm sure they'll figure out a solution eventually.
