I got emails from Reallusion offering some 3D Motions for free through ActorCore -- I assume I can use them in Cartoon Animator. 4.5 with the new Motions plugin. I went to grab them but before you can download you have to choose settings and there are a lot -- and I'm not a 3D expert.
Below are the choices.
Any suggestions what to choose - and why you would pick those choices?
"Avatar Settings"
Max Texture Size several, from 256 to 4096
[check boxes] [ ] Facial Blend Shapes [ ] Embed Texture
"Motion Settings"
Target Applications: Unity Unreal Maya Motion Builder 3ds Max Blender Cinema 4d (R18 and before) Cinema 4d (R19)
FPS: 60 30 24
[check boxes] [ ] Mirror [ ] Zero Root Animation

Good question...though I see iClone and Character Creator as options when choosing the female robot. So does this mean no motions can be used direct to CA4, and they all have to go through iClone?

Hi... You don't need to worry about all the 3D software options if you only want to use the motions in Cartoon Animator 4. So just choose the animations you want, checkout, and then go to your Marketplace Inventory (linked below). You can then download from there straight into CTA4. https://marketplace.reallusion.com/inventory-listIf you need help with the download process from your Marketplace Inventory, please refer to the FAQ page below. https://kb.reallusion.com/Product/52948/How-to-Download-Motions-from-ActorCore-to-Cartoon-Animator-4-If-you-only-have-CTA

Thanks Peter! For things like Mixamo...those have to go through iClone, or is there another more direct way?

To be able to use motion files with Cartoon Animator they need to be in .rlMotion or iMotion format. Sadly Mixamo doesn't offer an export option to these formats so you do have to use iClone/3DXchange to convert them first.

I had read that FAQ before posting my query but when I went to my "Inventory List" I was in ActorCore Inventory ( https://actorcore.reallusion.com/inventory/motion) and that page didn't give me the same options I got from the Marketplace URL you provided. Thanks!
