Hi, I want to use iclone to create facial animation and edit/perfect it in iclone. Then export the data only into Maya and then copy/paste keys, or otherwise connect it to a Maya character with facial bones/blendshapes.
I have the answer for anyone interested.
You can't export the facial animation data only. It has to be associated with an iclone character and exported with the character. For my preferred workflow that is not what I wanted to hear. Best to have options for data exchange like FBX, etc. as with the body motion data. Perhaps iclone will offer this option in exchange pipeline in the future. It would be welcomed.
