I used a standard female character base to start off with. I must say that when I first started, I had envisioned something else entirely. I was having some issues with SkinGen and my laptop being so old. But, as the project progressed, it began to take on a life of its own. I call her NightVision (though I also like Nocturnia). Her outfit, hair, eyes, and nails all use a filter I found available for free on lunapic.com called night vision. I then adjusted the brightness levels to make the neon green glow effect. She just came to life so quickly last night. Her outfit has an additional filter available on lunapic called lightning that gives the lightning effect. I find it fascinating how easy it is to change the textures to create awesome new spins on the templates.
Overall, I am very proud of her. I am completely new to 3D game character design. I got CC/iClone a few months ago with the intention of building a niche transhuman themed game, and play around with it whenever I have time. But, the tools make it so simple, I have discovered I absolutely LOVE this! I never knew I could be so creative. While I have made a few human characters, she is my first scifi/fantasy character. I hope to see her in a game one day!
