I've had this issue since I've started using Iclone.  If I work with short clips it's not an issue but as soon as I work with anything above 2000 frames I find that breaking a clip into two can take up to five minutes to execute. This is crazy.  I love the real time aspect of Iclone but I'm just finidng that for all the time a make up from not having to render scenes, I lose when trying to do simple operations.  For example sampling a clip also takes similar amounts of time. The only way around this I've found is to just capture in short clips but this isn't always pratical, especially when you're capturing motion yourself.

Am I just missing something or do others get the same issues?

Thanks in advance.

Try to add a key frame just before and after the point where you want to break.

For some inexplicable reason, iClone fills the whole clip after the break with keyframes otherwise.

Thanks Animagic, I'll try that.
