Has this been fixed? In IC4 when you tried to export the head from zbrush
it would export as a character file.

I kept seeing in the forums that this would be taken care of. Im wondering since the new 3d exchange version is out is this fix not on the shelves?

Hi,

3DXchange4 can only export Exporting Props or Characters. It is not possible to just export head (iFace). However, you may customize the shape of the head and export it as a head-morphing template in order to apply to iClone characters with G3 head.

Now, I would like you to follow the instructions to export head-morphing.

1. Launch 3DXchange.
2. Modify the OBJ file in an external 3D modeling tool (Zbrush in this case). Export the modified model as OBJ file again.
3. In 3DXchange, click the Import Model button in the Head Morph section to load the OBJ file.
4. If the loaded head is not located in the center of the origin, then click the Auto Align button to relocate it.
5. Optionally, you may smooth the head mesh.
6. Click the Export button in the Head Morph section to export the model as a VNS file (.vns).
7. Launch iClone and apply an actor with a G3 head to your project.
8. Go to Head/Face, in the Modify page, scroll to the Facial Feature section and choose the Head item.
9. Click the Custom button and select the VNS exported in step 6.
10. Adjust the Weight value to decide the strength of the effect caused by the VNS model.
