Hmm.. I cant help but notice that your profile says you have been a member of this forum since 2/12/2009, with 344 visits ( a regular?), and have made 64posts. Wow and you are still a beginner?
Hmmm.. This kinda reinforces my point about the need to have multiple iClone products each serving a different category of user needs.

Yes, that's right. I bought the software around then, and my interest has been renewed with the arrival of Iclone 5. In the meantime, I have kept an eye on it. Is that ok with you? Hmmm.. This kinda reinforces my point about the need to have multiple iClone products each serving a different category of userneeds. No, it doesn't reinforce your point at all, and I now consider that your ignoring my questions means you don't actually know of any specific bugs, nor of any specific mirrored features. It means it's all hot air. PS: Samulis and Colour, thanks for your input; that's very interesting. You guys are nice .

I'm thrilled Reallusion is embracing NonPhotorealistic Rendering (NPR); however, the NPR effects shown in the iClone 5 preview video are somewhat limited. The addition of Toon Shading will actually be a more versatile way to achieve stylized custom "looks." I would like to make a feature request for another way to get NPR, based upon lots of experience over the years with stylizing live and CG video: if iClone were able to accept Photoshop plugins the way that many graphics programs do, this would open up an endless universe of NPR options, some of them top-notch. The best of breed that I know about is Topaz Simplify. ...Actually, the Oil Paint filter in Adobe Pixelbender is as good or even better.

Compare with Moviestorm who chose one clear path (easy and not sophisticated) and apparently better movies (storywise - not necessarily aestheicwise) get made in that product. ======================= Another thing about director mode... could it be the reason iCloners dont have as many properly made movies as Moviestorm? I haven't used moviestorm yet but it seems like the users of that product develop better movies than icloners - yet iClone is a more technically superior product. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, not another Moviestorm versus iClone debate!

There's a really amazing program I found through some links called Dynamic Auto-Painter which is the best faux painter I have seen personally... I doubt something like that could be added, but it has tons of different and unique settings varying between different artists and periods (impressionistic vs. realistic, etc.); perhaps Reallusion should try something similar by having more different NPR filters that you can't find ordinarily in other programs.

I bet that after the release of iClone 5 another category will be added to the content store.
It will be called: NPR Filters ;-)

I don't know about anyone else, but I miss the backstage feature that was built into iclone. The website is cool, but the old backstage feature was just much easier to navigate and find stuff imo. maybe it can be a combo of both, rather than flood the built in store with every item available, each vendor can pick 5 items that get placed in the built in backstage feature and a link to go to their store on the web if the purchaser wishes to see more ?

Motion Blur (non-real time i.e. introduced at render stage) would be a wonderful feature in iClone 5. Please include it if possible. Thank you! Brgds. iClone5 does include a variety of Post Effects including Lens Blur. More effects may be added later.

Thank you all for your continued feedback and suggestions. Although iClone5 is now nearing release all your wishful features will be considered for future upgrades.

Paumanok West (8/13/2011) I'm thrilled Reallusion is embracing NonPhotorealistic Rendering (NPR);...//... if iClone were able to accept Photoshop plugins the way that many graphics programs do...//... I was just about to say that also. My comparison would have been "Virtual painter." to video effects but I think someone beat me to it. Paumanok, I wanted to ask if you have a gallery of stills of the style of flat comicbook rendering you do please??? S.S. p.p. Armstrong.
